New year, new blogging

Ok, so my November goal was obviously not met. Moving forward, I hope to resume blogging at an increased pace, if not always a daily one. I'm thinking, name of the blog notwithstanding, I may review and plug other Deadpixel authors as well as whatever else I happen to be reading. For example, I've just finished a thorough reread of Steve Wetherell's SHOOT THE DEAD, and it's the main thing on my mind right now. Which is probably not a good thing as I am about to fall asleep. ..

Fresh Cuts: the Breaking Volume

Going to have to double up to meet my post goals for the month. The good news is, we have two new short stories that are either available now or will be shortly. The first is called "Cockfightin'" and is part of a collection of short stories by various authors. I've just finished reading all of them, and my personal take is that the collection was money well spent. A lot of it tended to be dark, but all in all, it was a good grab bag featuring some very talented writers.  Amazon.com link below.

It's NaNoWriMo!

In honor of National Novel Writing Month, I am pledging to make at least 30 posts in the next 30 days. Let's also hope that November sees the release of Critical Failures 4: the Phantom Pinas. In the meantime, we have a new short story, this one featuring Randy and Dennis, from CF3. It's called "Cockfightin'" and is part of a short story collection featuring various authors. I'll put up an Amazon link in the next post.
