"There was only so long someone could stand to argue with a possibly racist four-hundred-year-old woman."
Julian frowned. "You guys don't think it's a bit early in the day to start drinking?"
"Fuck that," said Cooper. "It still counts as last night if you haven't gone to bed yet."
Words to live by.

And yeah, I will have to do some double posting to meet my post goal for the month. Expect to see some choice quotes and Bevanisms in the not too distant future.
Going to have to double up to meet my post goals for the month. The good news is, we have two new short stories that are either available now or will be shortly. The first is called "Cockfightin'" and is part of a collection of short stories by various authors. I've just finished reading all of them, and my personal take is that the collection was money well spent. A lot of it tended to be dark, but all in all, it was a good grab bag featuring some very talented writers. Amazon.com link below.
In honor of National Novel Writing Month, I am pledging to make at least 30 posts in the next 30 days. Let's also hope that November sees the release of Critical Failures 4: the Phantom Pinas. In the meantime, we have a new short story, this one featuring Randy and Dennis, from CF3. It's called "Cockfightin'" and is part of a short story collection featuring various authors. I'll put up an Amazon link in the next post.
Been slacking, and that needs to change. New blog post at the Caverns and Creatures blog. It's a good 'un about the recent drama surrounding the Hugo awards for fantasy/sci fi.
